Just a question: Why is the resolution limited to 1024*786 (XGA) in Sigma?
Normal 16:9 displays have 1920*1080, so if Diablo 2 has to stay at 4:3 (can't even imagine the time to change something like this and I can program bit) you could use 1440*1080 (SXGA+).
800*600 compared to 1024*786 is not that big change afaik, I tested both resolutions on my 1920*1200 display.

Just curious, I know the highres mods break the monster AI due to being able to shot out of their activation range, is this the reason?
Or the limited graphic resolution of the sprites used in D2?

But nevertheless, great work so far Smile.

it is indeed for the reason you mentioned. Plus the fact that enabling many more resolutions requires a more complex and dynamic system, while adding just one more can be done in a more static way.

It's 1024x768.

1) AI related problems
2) not everyone has 99999x99999 monitors
3) performance issues

etc...

Besides, enabling multiple resolutions would make the GUI coding even more tedious and long than it already is. It wouldn't be a problem if I took the same approach D2MultiRes did (big ass borders and same GUI page sizes), but I wanted bigger GUI space, which requires a major rewriting of the GUI code.

Spoiler:
I was using Pentium III 450 MHz in 2009. Sadly it literally died that year. Otherwise I could have played MXL for the first time on that computer
