It's not being released in January.
The first beta version will be released by end of January. That won't go on the servers, it'll only be single player. Then there'll be a period of testing, which could take weeks. After that it'll go online. That's when you'll have to make new characters. The old ones will be lost.

I won't promise any alpha/version test ever.

Game is currently unstable; only act 1 has monsters in the levels. A stable version will be once I add all monsters to the levels, adjust their resistances to the new pierce paradigm and adjust all items to it as well. Then skills and etc are totally undependant because they leave no legacy trails.

I'm even considering changing block paradigm too, reverting it to non-dex based.

Im wondering, would you able to create new stats that scaled with attributes?
Doesnt matter if it hard point or soft point based.

I was hoping for defensive bonus via energy.
I know that energy-requirement on gear wasnt possible.
or maybe "%reduced requirement per 1k energy" that became auto-stat on all caster item?

Spending 1k stats into energy still seem doesnt give good returns compared to 1k in other stats (because of diminishing return on energy to spell dmg)

I only read about Sigma for now, but I can see that a lot of edits I see in the opening post are not what I like to see. But thats more from the point of view from someone who doesn't have the time to play a lot and therefor (since I only play online) will not make it to a reasonable level before the chars are wiped again, because I don't play enough to learn the new way the game works.

Thats my only worry.

Elsewhere, it would be nice to see it more balanced, I feel puny with my caster din while a sin runs along and just mushes everything to dust.
