Sure, but arrow/knife procs work even better. 1/1 wdm and no next delay.

Fortress duration of 12 seconds is doable (I think) with enough plus skills.

nice guide, cookied Very Happy

I'm using RM+KS, 1pt spirit walk and hired a barb with urada, this way him+warband+necrobots all benefit from stances.

When I played Fortress Barb back in this version, it did fine even later game.
I switch between this and throw build (And a combo of them), and it worked great.

I think the guide should mention that AR is still needed for bosses endgame, one could have trouble if he didn't know about that Very Happy

its still good its just not great :/ not even with secret scythe rolls mentioned few pages before.
mehh nerfs. btw i dont play barbs, just gave it a try this ladder.

Hello,

is this build still viable for endgame?

And I have a questions about the skills, I am newbie and not sure about the abbreviations.
SS means snake stance?
SE = Eagle stance?
NW = nephalem weapons?
SG = Spirit guide?
SOR = Shower of rocks?
Wonder = Whats that for a skill?
TS = Thunder slam?
WC = Wolf companion?
RM = Runemaster?

if you read through the thread you'll find some useful info that's not in the guide about how to refine it for best results. your abbreviations are all correct.

Still lovely, just respecced from dual wield Deathgaze to a Fortress barbo and works better! Still can't do TTran, so I will probably respec to a Throwbarb first with Eagle Stance until I get some better gear.

I'm starting to come down from dual wield again.. Deathgaze feels very solid early game, but after getting to Terror, even with very high def and supermaxed resists, I get cheesed. While my friends play with ranged chars without any good gear and they cheese all of Terror.

The fortress barb still seems viable, I'm wondering if I can lower the cooldown timer even more with orbs or items with cooldown reduction.

(lol just spotted my new nickname..)
