Currently working on summons. I wanted to get to this for a while, and Kingpin's post at the Phrozenkeep finally got me to work on it.

My plans are to make one global skill function that will be used to handle all summons. I also plan on, at least trying, to make summons more effective (why having 100 dumb/weak minions when you could have 10 effective minions)

So far, I have coded it so you can specify how many monsters are spawned (so that some skills can summon "packs"), and softcoded the skill use of the necromage, so that we can have custom summons using skills (and they still follow you). Sure the shadowmaster AI was a possibility, but I always found it complicated to setup and a little buggy

Since that's not really easy to screenshot, there goes a video of a summoning skill that will spawn a fire mage pack, using firestorm

So cooooooooooooool whist!!!!! Now I really forgive you for being bad boy on old forums haha! And a cookie ofc! (or tomorrow, if I can't give today). And fuck yeah, we will really get skeletons as summons? No more only shadows? That's awesome man! Real Necromancer should have all, zombies/skeletons/shadows/ghosts and resurrects. Idk where blizz got the golem idea tho Razz

what i love about this thread is that there are like 1 screenshot/image/video per page followed by 20 posts regarding cookie traffic.
but again we can work with that so keep it up whist,marco.

Well, that is undecided so far. The video really just is testing stuff. I couldn't be bothered making a brand new summon with all new graphic, custom skills and what not just for testing, so I used a copy of the necromage.

Ok, btw, graphic=Marco's job. Tell him to do a lot of new summons but also tell him not to go very crazy and leave a spot for the poor necromage/skeleton Very Happy

And there goes some more. This time I added the duration feature of the dopplezon. That is, the summon function now allows to define a duration calc that will set how much time the summon will live before being destroyed. This timer is optional (if you set no duration calc, it's not used)

I think you said that this skeletons are only for test purpose, But I really hope that necro will have those skeletons.

But we will discuss about that later, when suggestion thread unlocks.

1)will sigma gonna work properly only with d2se?
2)if so that means we won't be able to play using ddraw(2d)? (tryed zy-el with it but nothing stays in its place)
3)will 1200x700 be the only resolution or 800x600 will work too?
