Been waiting for this for fucken ever! Your a god Quirinus! A few months ago, I actually downloaded all the html/css from Tub's site to try and use his methods for a project of my own, but I never thought of bother to update the website!

Also, the skillpoint planner for Ultimative was in the docs all the time since XI (as you can see in the version dropdown list), it's just that people don't notice that it's there, and use the cMXL one on Tub's site instead. That's why I posted here, so people can see it's in the docs, and updated. Smile

Guys,

I'm rewriting the skillpoint planner to look like a real application and not look like "it was made in the 90's", so you can expect some features to be broken (including the layout).

The aim is to make it look more diablo-ish, by removing all the checkbox inputs and text, everything will be based on pictures with description when hovering on them, assigning skill points will be handled via click/rclick (shift included) on the icons. So instead of an ugly html form it should look like a real application.

Also I'm removing support for non-latest versions. The main reason for this was to easen the code but also to encourage people to use latest skillplans/game versions, I still don't know if old skillplans will remain compatible or not (no big deal). The current way skillplans are loaded are by using really long links with all the parameters which looks kind of ugly. I was thinking of enabling people to actually store their skillplans in a real database, by giving each skillplan an unique name.


A nice idea in the future would be to convert this into a general planner, not just for skills. When we manage to make a database with all items (I was expecting Quiri to help me here since he has much more experience dealing with this for docs), then we could add the options to create gear setups, as well as display stat points. This would then be a pretty sick resource for guidemaking, as it would cover most non-conceptual aspects of the guide in just one link. Maybe we could create a bbcode tag in the new forums to embed a plan in a thread, well fuck the possibilities with new site are always endless as you guys can see.

Marco you are awesome. Currently the best way to list skill builds in guides is just plain text in my opinion, as that skill planner form looks kind of ugly.

Having the ability to link, say an item in the guide with a bbcode that returns its picture and a stat tooltip on mouse hover would be amazing. (kind of how the path of exile forum works)
