Body recovery problem

Post by zaphodbrx on Sat Oct 26, 2013 9:25 am

Hi,

I was running Toraja with a necromancer. I died, and then died another two times trying to recover body, then finally did S&E. On entering, I tried recovering corpse in town, but... the items were not there! In fact, only the body armor was there.

How did this happen? I've died hundreds of times, S&E and got back body in town, this is the first time I see this.

Is this a known issue?

Edit: Note I'm playing classic not ultimative.

This is because you pick up some other items and you die again, than u pick the body with not-your normal gear but with items that have been picked up before. Than u s&e and the game save your body only with those items witch they were picked after u die on the first time.

Yea, that is why I don't wear any gear while attempting body recovery. That's not the issue.

This is the issue, there is only one other explanation to this but in that case u have to be killed by another player, and i think this bug was fixed in 1.10

Well then I have no idea what happened. This is a one time issue, I haven't faced it before or since. I didn't really lose much ( had a backup couple weeks before ), so I'll just move on.

You probably clicked on some white items, which drop already identified and will be automatically worn up if you meet the requirements

Tip: /nopickup command to avoid this

Nah, I already use /nopickup all the time. And besides, that wouldn't account for ALL the items other than body armor.

This happens when you pick some item before you have picked your real corpse. When you remove that item and successfully get your corpse it's ok, but if you just leave the game you'll certainly lose most of your items. And btw this /nopickup command doesn't work for me.
