builds you tried that were fun, but not in the least bit viable?

Post by PhoenixRising on Wed Nov 20, 2013 2:00 am

hey folks, i've been playing Median for a couple of weeks now, tried different stuffs and decided i wanted to make a couple of different chars...
- these are all made for the heck of it, and should not be considered "good", "viable", "usefull", "l33t" or in any other positive remarks: usefull..

the dovahkiin:
Paladin, Holy, using only the first spell of holy Paladin to blow people up from the inside..... This will require macroing, as you will need to have your char say "Woop-a-Doo" every time you cast it....

the nerdrager:
Assasin, using only one claw, no shield, max Strenght, as heavy armor as possible, secondary set is 1 claw aswell, using only batstrike and items that buffs summons.
- "if you dont piss off at least one nerd a week, you've missed out on a great deal of fun" - me.

"the splush!"
can be done using any and all chars, focuses mainly on dying and proccing things on death. If you've got some way to die faster = usefull stuffs....

"it's a me, mario"!
must be a barb, use any armor that appears green, hat that appears red and using Jitans Gate, macro it to say "here we goooo!" every time you cast it, and you're set!

these are all to be continued, especially since i need to figure out how to macro in Diablo 2 Very Happy

have fun folks, this has been the effect of sleep deprivation, too much homework and cake....bye!

in an older version, I tried a take on the auradin from clod, inspired by the immortal lichemancer from older median, using only passive skills, elemental band, and sacred armor.
it didnt go so well.
it WAS fun walking around hatred at least.

i think you win, though.

Paladin using dual claws and flamestrike is best. Max vitality and use SSSU wolf head for optimal damage.
Don't use ubercharms, too mainstream. Just fill your inventory of cycles of lust for swag

Wolf Head=Wolves only
Claws=Bears only
Can't use Flamestrike unless you're a Werebear dummy!

I could post a few ideas where i lack 1 step to make it efficient:

1. the when dmged proccer:

Basicly once you tried standing in the flames of a fallen shaman you know what it means ...instaproc all the time. So idea is we need to get some fire dmg from somewhere that triggers all the procs. The only way i know how to get such a proc is the 6 earth throwing axe and have the dragons attack you ( this really procs alot) -> but they spawn in their eggs so this is where i couldnt figure out how to free them on an efficient way.

2. The sacrifices-killer

Spawn sacrifices and kill them with weapon dmg before the fire nova is able to => free kills to activate your on kill procs. Unfortunately best thing i found was Barrage
