If he does research and finds a way to do this uber, he can do it with other gear. He then has legit charm with legit gear. I don't see problem with that.

Well is the charm even really worth it? It seems like more of a notch in the belt sort of thing as it seems less powerful than other charms tbh. How is the thunderfury mod different from a normal one (the docs say it is)?

nah, charms not that great really. best thing about it is %life and mana unless you're str based in which case strength damage bonus is nice. More of a bragging rights/completionist trophy.

Name a charm I have that isn't legit please. Aside from Marco charm using an item from your mistake. Sad really that all you have to say is I'm a cheater with no information or any real contribution to the thread. Also, you are basing your statements on 0 facts and 0 evidence. Kudos to proving your standard "superiority" of random fact less statements that the "sheep" will +1 and bandwagon.

The thunder fury seems to proc more often and a slightly larger aoe. I haven't used the regular thunder fury much but at a quick glance that's my opinion.

well, +[str*25/256]% EWD is hardly weak, considering it's only 1/2 of the +[str*50/256]% EWD from the sleep + TA trophy that people were trying to abuse to get ridiculous % EWD (it's currently bugged on the sleep, so it doesn't work)

let's say you have 1000 str, which is achievable with almost no investment in str if you have some charms/etc. on some characters, you get 97% EWD from it. that's sick. now imagine if you actually invested str to get more damage.



thunderfury is fucking op as hell ;P

Thunderfury:
50% on attack
Emits charged bolts that do 75% normal attack damage as lightning.

that's a lot of lightning damage, considering there's more than 1 bolt.
3/4 wdm! 50% ctc on attack! there's not many other procs that can claim the same.

the "difference" that's stated in the docs is that it can trigger separately from the Thunderfury on weapons. so if you have this charm and a weapon with thunderfury, you will have them both triggering separately on each attack: 25% chance that none will trigger, 25% that both will, or 50% that only one will. not sure if there's any other difference, but probably not.

Increase Maximum Life and Mana (6 to 10)%

is hardly bad.

so this charm is actually fairly better than a lot of charms. I think this charm might have been aimed at helping the melee characters catch up to the casters/ranged, just like when Laz introduced Thunderfury and other innate item mods.

Imho, it's one of the best charms for most melee builds. Thunderfury destroy everything non-immune and has some aoe which greatly assist to treewarden/holy paladin/dualwield barb/melee necr/amazon/sorc and even assassin(1-hit astro? Easy!) Only problem - you should be enough skilled for killing most annoying bosses for getting this charm. Other way it may be pretty op item for 80% melee builds.
