Sources of Deadly Strike

Post by Mangekyox on Tue Jan 28, 2014 7:12 am

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to tell me the sources where I can obtain deadly strike on equipment.

I was looking forward to making a build which idolizes deadly strike in trying to get as many critical strikes off as possible from a ranged. Although I was disappointed when I realized that there were mo/umo, gems/runes or barely any unique items which gave the stat.

I searched all the documents before posting this topic and came up with

Runewords
- Druid Bow - Dirge

Tiered Uniques
- None

Sacred Uniques
I found a few but the only gear pieces which were ideal were chest and gloves.

Was hoping I may have missed something or might be missing some documentation

Deadly strike just isn't as big a deal in Median as it was in cLoD where there where far fewer ways to substantially crank up your physical damage.

it's been removed mostly because of damage overflow.

also, I'm not so sure if it's only physical, or all elements.

Deadly strike gives chance to double all damage including elemental.

Deadly strike gives you the chance to do double damage. All melee damage is doubled, whether its physical, magic or elemental (i.e. skills such as Berserk, Vengeance or Fire Claws for example). Deadly Strike does not work with Smite.

It was removed in the past because it have potential to reach dmg cap at 83k

But that was in 1.10.
I dunno what the case in 1.13 though, some people tested that it no longer cause damage cap with just 41.5k dmg.

Deadly strike doesn't work with cLoD vengeance or fireclaws. Don't give out wrong info.
The reason why it works with berserk is because berserk converts all physical damage to magical. So physical damage is doubled, and then converted to magic.
Things that simply add +elemental damage ( like vengeance, fireclaws, holy fire aura etc. ) don't get affected by deadly strike.
