Item Creation Thread

READ BEFORE POSTING

Unique items are long and tedious to create. Since pretty much 90% of the current unique items need to be reworked, this is your chance to make a small contribution to the development. Please note that there is nothing to guarantee your item will make it into the game. Also note we reserve all rights to alter suggested items before implementing them. This thread will really be used as a source of inspiration for the design of unique items.

Now before you go ahead and post your suggestions... First of all, ask yourself if you would ever use the item you just thought of. If the answer to this question is no, then your idea likely sucks and you might as well just not post it, because the goal is to make all uniques viable in a way or another. (as most as possible). Please read, that doesn't mean you need to post overpowered item ideas. There is a line between overpowered and useless.

Next thing, in order to avoid massive amount of random ideas for random base items, this topic will target precise base item types (waves by waves). That is, only post ideas for the currently targeted item types. The targeted base item type will likely change once every week (this post will be edited accordingly)

And finally, I would say, don't limit yourself to the current item properties pool. With the advanced code editing done in Sigma, the possibilities are expanded a lot, so you might as well post your ideas of new properties if you have some (note that the same rules apply here). Although I don't want to see items filled of stats ideas just for the sake of posting all your stats ideas. Then again, use common sense here.

TL;DR

- No useless items (ask yourself if you would ever use your item if it was to be implemented)
- No troll items (these are not funny anymore really)
- Only post ideas for targeted base item type
- Nothing obviously overpowered (+66 to death spiral)
- Don't exaggerate the amount of custom properties ideas (as if we decide not to take your properties ideas, your item is ruined)

We also reserve the right to delete any unwanted post. That is, people looking to increase their post count only, go away. We really don't need to look for the actual suggestions through all the chit-chat posts.

Well, as a general idea for this wave, as the base damage output of these is quite low in comparison to other weapons, i think we could focus on unique properties in terms of procs/oskills that these or some of these swords could give. Astral Blade and Plaguemourn seems like good examples in this way already.

I am not an expert in terms of balance, so everyone feel free to adjust and correct the suggestions i will eventually make in this thread, because i will not be really aware if an item i suggest will come out broken or not.
This said, for Plaguemourn SU broad sword, we can make it a bit more versatile and add more appeal to it with a simple change and by adding a unique oskill that is currently available only to sorc and necro, if i recall correctly: Summon Acid Fiends. Something like this:

One-Hand Damage: (455-498) to (572-618)
Durability: 72

20% CtC lvl 26 Plague Avatar on Attack

Okay my turn :

Since im a big fan of a concept behind items i will write down my thoughts behind them.

Okay starting with the short Sword, its an item class noone will ever use as main weapon unless its so overpowered that noone will use any other sword ( and this feels wrong) so the idea is to create a prebuff item, like always my names suck hard, but idea is that you get some neat buffs that mihgt help to prepare for some harder fights

Flying Polar Buffalo error
