Smth about castersin

sup people, I have some questions for u. My energsin is about to end the normal(or how u people call it in MXL) difficulty. So, I've just noticed that I've managed it with only 3 skills - psionic storm, tiefling form and singularity(and perfect being, but this is passive). Is that normal for the greatest mode for Diablo 2? The whole trap tree is useless 'cos they deal significanly less damage even if compare with appropriate mana cost. I afraid that the whole tree of assasin skills is useless, 'cos my favorite three lay waste of large groups of enemies without need to collect punches in melee combat.

P.S. I've forgot to mention that my friends with sorcerers, paladins, barbarians and druids are much less fortunate. They die like a moth to flame fighting with andariel even, when I didn't have ANY problems with her. Even if they have a gold armor they don't do much success. How that can be? Fortificated classes are weak as a fly?

EDIT: And to be a wee bit more construvtive: One of the great things about MXL:U is that there are many viable builds for each class. Hatred difficulty (normal) is not hard, the problems usually starts at destruction (hell) or late terror. Enjoy and explore your build! Respecs allow for adaptation at any stage of the game!

Not dying in Hatred really isn't that big of an accomplishment.

in fact every class can be quite successful but im glad you like singularity and psionic strom ( which are ineed strong skills !)...maybe if your sucess continues you will reward us with a guide ...id love a guide written by a median newcomer. Dont listen to people that posted above ... tiefling from makes hatred at least twice as hard due to no defense ( while without morph you could have like 10k which is 5% cth in hatred)

I'm glad you're having fun as a Psi Storm sin! I had quite a blast playing her when Tiefling Form was introduced and made a topic about my experience, you can search the topics I created for that one.

That said, you should not rely on early-game experience to decide how strong a class is. Hatred is only a tiny percentage of the total playtime of a 'completed' character (maybe 5%) so it doesn't really matter in the end. What most people care about is how well they can farm end-game areas and complete end-game quests, so wait until you get there before making a judgment.
