But if you're not then that would be hard (for me at least, I always been depending on summons in my character).
These things don't really address the issues. Rathma's Chosen makes them immune while it is active in addition to increasing their damage. Thus your summons just get raped faster than you can cast them (especially if they use the hand grenade ability). And don't forget that the longer that the avatar is alive, the more dark nephalem that will be summoned and the more they will cast Beacon. Also simply stacking magic resist doesn't exactly fix things given the increased numbers of dark nephalem and that a summoner likely doesn't have the ability to tank their melee attacks.
And for me this fight perfectly highlights the issue of summoners. Pre-update this fight was the easiest uber I had ever done (spam ice elemental, drop Fire Dance+Flamestrike on boss, profit), post-update the summons are just useless the second an avatar spawns. It has swung from one extreme to the other.

@Laurel Wreath You used a 2nd character to open the cube that the 1st character put into stash. The cube is not really an item, what is in it is saved in the character file, like another inventory. For ex if you put in stash a full cube and open it with a character that had nothing in his cube the cube in stash shows as empty. And if you give a 2nd empty cube to a character that already has a full cube the 2nd cube will also shows as full. Items are not duped but what happens is that what was saved in the character file that you use to open the cube will show in whatever cube you open.
