Bladestorm paladin

Post by Sexen on Wed May 21, 2014 3:59 pm

Whist said a few people on realm have made such creatures. I'm curious as to what gear and skill build (holy or unholy) people chose. I have a good idea on what I'm going to do but it would be nice to see suggestions and differing opinions on the most viable option. I plan on doing unholy using sssu crystal sword as my weapon.

I would go unholy and maximize weapon damage:

SBS for armor to give aoe and everything else.
crafted gloves with burning veil on kill (its effected by duration bonus so it won't be very hard to maintain)
Qaraks or lex ferarum on switch
klaatu for the proc to help with immunes.
Deadfall or ahriman belt
angiris star for massive timestrikes and %block
Barghest's howl or pestilence depending on your switch weapon (I'd go with lex on switch and barghests for wolf stance)

Why use a proc weapon with very low damage with bladestorm?

Only allowed the use of crystal swords and staff with bladestorm. Options are pretty limited.

I was originally going to use angiris star, Lyon claw, or sherazade but none will work.

SSSU warp blade has fire and cold spell procs...you needs tons of spell damage to make it effective Very Happy.

Once again spell procs+weapon damage attack ≠synergy. If you go that route you are a procadin and your actual bladestorm will do next to no damage so you might as well not be using it at all.

If going for SUs then SSU crystal sword is the obvious choice and it has one of your precious attack procs. Razz

Cowboy set would work provided that you get enough ele damage out of it.
