disco inferno question

disco inferno question

I realize disco inferno requires tons of mana, but is that skill a caster base skill or meelee base?

Cast I'm sure…i think it deals fire damage? it will proc on striking too.

It is basically a wdm ranged skill. Melee modifiers have no affect.

oook then that throws me for a loop. I suppose then to be viable a mana driven build with mana regen and mana after kill. does mana regeneration stack above 100 percent and be effective?

that is what I decided to make. discosin seemed not as likely to be viable. did anyone know answer to my question above about mana regen

Mana steal should work and it should stack over 100 but I doubt you'll ever get that much and you definitely won't need that much given that necromancers have embalming as a great source of mana regen.

With much thought and consideration, this is what I came up with for gears for my discomancer:
Tzeentch runeword raptor scythe with 5 phase crystal jewels for IAS and FCR.
Checkmate runeword great helm (secret Auhe runeword) with zakarum stoning rock for increase present of Shower of rock
Deadfall TU 6 Belt (more shower of rock! yes
Hooves of thunderhorse with Zakarum stoning rock (yes even more shower of rocks)
Eternal armor of course for disco inferno
Demonic Touch gloves for the great mods it provides
2 lotteried rings of disengagement with start of the endless light project
4 skill rare with banish and thunderhammer

my damage is 73k disco inferno and for my left click mouse arcane torrent 30k damage
all elements and poison -100+ pierce
all elements 63+ % damage
140 ias, 160fcr, 88fhr, mana regen 545, life steall 47, mana steal 40, and 35 slow
I have quite a lot of space still for MO on armors. What would be a good thing to use to fill them
my mana is 17364 and my life is 8972
