MP issue

Hmm
So i 've been trying to MP with my friend but TCP IP game did not work => can not connect to server , then we tried open bnet but it was no use too. Can anyone tell me if open chars could join each other's game? And how can we solve the problem with tcp ip game ? Thinking

You guys are on the same LAN, correct? and have windows firewall disabled on both computers?

You both probably have to open some ports on your routers, because most routers block some uncommon ports by default.

Awwwww damn, We had our firewall disabled, but I think we were not on the same Lan, that's the problem right? Then we also tried open Bnet, of course our chars were both open chars, but could not join each other's game. Can anyone suggest some idea Thinking ?

yeah both were 1.13, the patches were exactly XIVb Scratch

There's different versions of 1.13 though. Also were either of you trying to use PlugY, cuz I don't know if that works over TCP or not.

The game host needs to have his ports opened (and disable firewall). Just Google Diablo II port forwarding.

PlugY works fine over TCP/IP. I've played many lan parties with plugY.
