Twin Seas . . . (EDIT: Nephalem Statues? Fauztinville?)

Well, the new Athulua boss fight is awesome, for sure. That "Eureka" taunt might be a little too common, though. Laughing

Has anyone figured out what the Nephalem Statues do? I tried Purifying them, but not much else. Surely "Darker Summoning" has some purpose now?

What have you all found?

EDIT: Also note that Fauztinville has been extended, and that there is a large, open room with a circle much like the waystone in the Canyon of the Magi.

. . . or, you know, just like the pedestal on which Athulua now stands in the Twin Seas. Is there some correlation here?

I still can't figure anything out.

This is certainly the big mystery of XV - let's get some collaborative brainstorming going. ^_^

The Fauztinville extension is really gorgeous - just some really good mapmaking I must say. Between the massive room with the mysterious waystone (and the huge ceiling-wall thing) and the massive Twin Sea's chamber (where you fight Athulua) . . . let's just say MNX's mapmaking skills just keep getting better. I never thought I would see such perspective in this game.

The tethamet or something amulet which is like lvl 50 amulet. Found in all difficulties. Im pretty sure this is why they won't update server with patch until reset; because people have that amulet on there. Anyone have it in single player and willing to trade? I can give anything for it.


The statues are targetable so maybe they can be dire charmed or any wep that teleports an enemy? Perhaps lure athulua to them and she can kill it? Personally I just think Marco has it disabled till realm patch. We already know he can disable ubers from alpha testing. Perhaps they're disabled till reset so no one can figure them out yet. For all we know... Use darker summoning in fautz to kill a boss that drops a special item that gets cubed with deity bow (thus looks familar) to make something that activates a statue of your class type. Creating an über made for your character that requires all 7 characters to get the 7 über items from bosses to make something epic?

i think the first thing i tried after i saw those statues was that i tried to use the 40% blink on striking axe, surprisingly nothing happened.

Maybe they got 100% avoid and you need a charge-reanimate to kill them
