Diablo 2 Brightness issue.

Post by Rainman89 on Mon Jan 12, 2015 2:17 am

I just started playing Diablo 2 with PlugY and MultiRes with Median XL and i'm having an issue with the Brightness when ever i take a screenshot or record a video they both come out really dark i have my brightness set abit over the middle line and it looks fairly bright while in game but when when ever i take a screenshot they come out extremely dark and i can barely see anything same with videos that i record is there anyway to fix this without uninstalling plugY or MultiRes? I'm using 1920x1080 as my Resolution that is my native resolution for my monitor.

As "really dark" you mean, really dark, or almost completely black? (as they are two different issues)

If it's the former I could suggest to use glide, which makes everything nicely brighter

It's fairly dark but not completely black. I'll try Glide and see if that changes anything.

If you are using multires, that is mean that you use windowed mode.
Glide wont help you there.

Suggestion:
1. Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization -> Display -> Display Color Calibration
2. Get any graphic card manager (AMD Catalyst or Nvidia nView Desktop Manager): Search for desktop color adjustment.

You have to play around between gamma, brightness and contrast to get decent result.

tl;dr

more brighter you desktop = more brighter d2 in windowed mode.

Yes, in windowed mode you need to brighten your desktop so you dont feel like you are in a pit when playing Diablo. Windowed mode automatically takes your desktop gamma and contrast settings.

I'm playing in Fullscreen not windowed.
