D2 Halt error

I was wondering if anyone can help me with this problem I am having while playing. Every so often, the game freezes up and I get the same error window to pop up. I looked up the specific error number and got nothing. Has anyone else experienced this and/or know how to fix it?

If it's not linked with a specific place, or maybe an item or skill you use and also if downloading the patch again and replacing it won't solve the issue, then check the size of your save file (.d2s). The max size it can be is 8KB and if you have items with many affixes on yourself and in the current page of your stash when the game tries to autosave (at whatever time interval) it will inevitably crash.
