Docs say that LC2 should give these bonuses for sorc:

+15% Bonus to Energy Factor
+5% to Spell Damage

I didn't get the first one. The only unusual things were (a) I was only level 73 and (b) I hadn't cubed it with a jewel yet (so the +2 skills etc mods are not on it hadn't appeared).

EDIT: NVM once I cubed it with a jewel the 15% EF appeared aiong with all the other mods. Slightly weird but all ok now.

E: Is Magic damage reduction still the same as in D2, as in elemental reduction? If so, gonna try with few reduction pieces~~

E2: Marco confirmed, still the same.

you need flat damage reduction. he has a 25/sec multihitting physical damage component to his beam.
I can't remember how much flat DR you need to MO, but like 100-200

Ooo he do? This I did not know, gotta get some. I'll go ahead and assume it's not some special damage type and thus DR% will affect it as well.

It was added (forget when though)

DR% does affect it, but because it's MULTIhitting but LOW damage, flat DR practically negates it. DR% would lower the low damage lower, but it'd still do a crapton of damage per SECOND because of how frequently it hits.

Paladins with Blessed life (gives flat dr too) pretty much dont have to worry about it at all.

EDIT: on re-read...it's 3 AM and i need to sleep:

Ye I just wanted to make sure since I have learnt not to trust anything mechanics/number related in D2 :I

Also because I might have 25% dmg taken increase on my gear and wanted to know if I had to offset that as well :3

he also has the poison thingy, so poison length reduction is ok.
MDR and flat absorb reduces his dmg. %absorb is ok too. if you have like 300-400% res stacked, he won't do much damage as well. (don't remember the exact %)

Should be 445% for 95% all res (250 pierce + 100 penalty + natural 95).

And ye, I've more than enough resists + I ain't planning on standing in the Hive :3
